Court documents reveal that Mormon social media star Taylor Frankie Paul, who rose to fame with her videos on TikTok, has been accused of domestic assault and child abuse.
According to documents from Salt Lake County, Paul was arrested on Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault and two charges of domestic violence committed in the presence of a kid. Paul was also facing misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and child abuse.
According to a statement released by the Herriman City Police Department last week, Paul was detained on February 17 after police responded to a domestic violence incident.
A probable cause statement states that Paul assaulted her boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, after an altercation during which he attempted to leave the residence. According to the report, Paul is also suspected of striking Mortensen with a “large, metal chair” and knocking her 5-year-old daughter unconscious.

When Paul And Mortensen Were Shouting
The probable cause statement states that police analyzed surveillance footage showing Paul hurling what were described as barstools. According to the report, when Paul and Mortensen were shouting, Paul threw a stool at Mortensen, which landed on Mortensen’s daughter, who was lying on a couch nearby. According to court papers, the kid eventually developed a painful lump on her head.
According to the probable cause statement, there was another youngster of a similar age there at the time.
Moreover, the affidavit claims that video evidence shows Paul choking and punching Mortensen many times, as well as kicking him. In addition to the phone, Mortensen claims that Paul hurled a wooden toy at him, damaging the door of his car.
According to the probable cause statement, the responding officer observed Paul hit Mortensen when he arrived, and Paul admitted to him that he had thrown the chairs and playset.
A social media influencer, Ms. Paul’s status has no consequence or impact on the investigation or conclusion of this case; the Herriman Police Department stated last week. For the sake of the safety of the victims and the integrity of the criminal justice system, we conduct exhaustive investigations into all complaints of domestic abuse by state legislation and accepted criminal justice standards.
