Alexis Arquette was an American actor, cabaret performer, underground cartoonist, and activist. She was born on July 28, 1969, and passed away on September 11, 2016. She has a Los Angeles pedigree. She belonged to the famous Arquette clan. Patricia Arquette had two sisters, Rosanna and Rosanna Arquette, and a brother named David Arquette.
Alexis Arquette Cause of De@th
According to the de@th certificate obtained by ET, the transgender actress died from heart arrest. She was also fighting HIV, however.
The letter states that Arquette’s de@th was caused by the cancer she had been battling for the previous 29 years. Three weeks before her de@th from a heart attack on September 11 at the age of 47, she had a bacterial infection of the heart.
Even though Arquette came out as transgender in the early 2000s, her de@th certificate uses her birth name, Robert Alexis Arquette, and indicates that she was male.
Richmond, Arquette’s brother, broke the news of his sister’s passing first.
“Our brother Robert, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed away this morning, September 11, at 12:32 am,” he said on Facebook. To to one of his sisters: “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, and one of his nieces, and several other loved ones.”
Boy George tweeted his condolences to “my sister Alexis Arquette. Another bright light gone out far too soon.”

Among tributes paid on social media, Patricia Arquette tweeted a link to Bowie’s Starman and wrote: “Breaking through the veil singing StarMan.” The tweet no longer exists.
