Due to changes in the release timetable made by the game’s creator Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate 3 will depart early access on PC several weeks earlier than expected. It will now arrive on August 3, 2023, rather than its initial launch date at the end of August. The entire version of the game will soon be available to those who have been patiently waiting, but there is a catch.
Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC has been delayed, and Larian also mentioned that the PlayStation 5 version of the game has been delayed. Even though it’s only by one week—to September 6, 2023—console lovers will have to wait a little longer than PC users.
Here is a tweet confirming the release date of the Game:
We’ve re-rolled the D8. Baldur’s Gate 3 is launching August 3rd for PC, and September 6 on PlayStation 5. We’re talking about that, and so much more in today’s Community Update.

Larian had slightly less positive Xbox news. There is still no release date for the Xbox version of the game since Larian appears to be still addressing split-screen gameplay-related performance difficulties. A target date will be revealed later for the full release of the game’s Mac edition, which has also been delayed.
Larian Studios reassured fans in a blog post that the wait will be worthwhile while also jokingly disclosing the rationale behind the PC version’s boost: the choice was made so that it would “be released at a time where you’ll have more time to play it.”
Unmentioned is the fact that Starfield, an upcoming, hotly anticipated space blockbuster from Bethesda, was initially competing with Baldur’s Gate 3. The Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, Mortal Kombat 1, and other new releases are among the many that will be available in September.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of Larian Studios’ largest and most ambitious games to date, with around 174 hours of gameplay and cinematics that “serve to give you a tremendous amount of choice and consequence, ensuring everyone’s adventure will be unique,” according to another section of the update.
The studio also displayed a variety of playable races in the update, including Humans, Half-Orcs, and Dragonborn species.
When Baldur’s Gate 3 ends early access on August 3 for PC and September 6 for PlayStation 5, players may anticipate jumping in with their own unique heroes.
