Her father, Flamur Rexha, hails from the city of Debar in North Macedonia, while her mother, Bukurije Rexha, hails from the town of Krasniq in the city of Gostivar.
Bebe Rexha: The Rise of a Pop Star
While working on a demo at the ‘Fall Out Boys’ New York City studio, Bebe Rexha became acquainted with Pete Wentz, the band’s bass guitarist. Wentz authored the songs and played the guitar for their duo experimental band Black Cards, which Wentz and Rexha founded in 2010.
The band continued to play live gigs at a wide variety of locations, as well as releasing remixes and songs on platforms like YouTube and iTunes. However, Bebe announced her departure from the band on January 13, 2012, in order to pursue a solo career.
Bebe has been posting acoustic versions of her songs and demos to YouTube. When she got signed to ‘Warner Brothers Records in 2013, it was a major turning point in her career. She has written hit songs for Nikki Williams (Glowing) and Selena Gomez (Like a Champion), but the song ‘Monster,’ performed by Rihanna and Eminem, has garnered the greatest attention and praise.

On May 12, 2015, Rexha dropped her first EP. Warner Brothers Records issued an EP with the title “I Don’t Wanna Grow Up.” She contributed to the writing and was featured on David Guetta’s “Hey Mama,” which peaked at #8 on Billboard’s “Hot 100.”
She released the single “Cry Wolf” in 2015. The song “Me, Myself and I,” which Rexha co-wrote with G-Eazy, topped the “Pop Songs” list and peaked at number seven on the “Hot 100” chart.

Bebe and Nicki Minaj dropped a collaboration single in March 2016 titled “No Broken Hearts,” and the music video premiered online in April 2016. Dave Meyer helmed the video, which received millions of views after its release.
On July 29, 2016, she released a track with record producer and DJ Martin Garrix titled “In the Name of Love.” It entered the top 10 of various charts in nations like Canada, Italy, Australia, and England, peaking at number four on the ‘Hot Dance/Electronic Songs’ chart. Her ‘LYRICS’ video for “Sweet Beginnings,” which she posted on January 31, 2016, has 1.8 million views as of 2017.
‘I Got You‘ is the title track to a single that Rexha released on October 28, 2016. The track was featured on her 2017 EP, All Your Fault: Part 1.
