Today saw a flurry of new information released for the upcoming fantasy anime Berserk of Gluttony, including a brand-new teaser image, trailer, significant character addition, and theme song musicians. As Holy Knight Roxy, Hisako Tojo (Vera in Fate/Strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn-) joins Ryota Osaka and Tomokazu Seki, who can all be heard in the clip down below.
Additionally, it was revealed that the opening and closing theme songs will be performed by the rock group EverdreaM (from Rokudo’s Bad Girls OP).
The anime series Berserk of Gluttony, which is being directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa (ORIENT) at studio ACGT, is based on the light novels Ichika Isshiki and Fame. Mariko Kunisawa (Ascendance of a Bookworm) composed the series, and Takafumi Furusawa (EDENS ZERO animation director) created the character designs.
At the Japan Expo, Crunchyroll made the following announcement about starting to stream the series live as of October 2023:
Fate, a castle guard in a world where one’s skills are everything, has acquired a skill called “Gluttony” that does nothing but make him hungry, leaving him with a miserable life.
But one day, he defeats some who are bandits infiltrating the castle, and his world changes.
Thus begins the story of how a young man once ridiculed as talentless climbed from the lowest stratum of life to the top.
