Exciting new details about the upcoming anime series “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” have been revealed, making it a great day for fans of the genre. With the announcement of the premiere date came a brand new promotional film (PV) from the production team.
Beyond Journey’s End Anime Set to Premiere
Fans of both manga and anime have shown a great deal of interest in ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End,’ which is based on a series of books written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe.
‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’s’ premiere episode will be a unique two-hour event, giving viewers more time with their favorite characters. The premiere date for the MADHOUSE-produced anime is set for September 29, 2023.

Beyond Journey’s End Trailer
A new trailer and September 29 release date for the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End TV anime have been unveiled. The first teaser for the show was released in March of last year. The show is being animated by Studio Madhouse.
Beyond Journey’s End Anime Premieres on Nippon TV
Following its 2-hour premiere, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will air regularly on Japan’s Nippon TV every Saturday. The animation is directed by Keiichirou Saito, and Tomohiro Suzuki is working on the scripts.
Music is by Evan Call, and character designs are being adapted by Reiko Nagasawa from the manga by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Frieren is voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki; Nobuhiko Okamoto plays Himmel; Hiroki Tochi voices Heiter; and Yoji Ueda provides the narration for Eisen.
The manga from which the show is adapted has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, Shogakukan’s shoujo manga magazine, since April 2020. The following is a plot summary provided by Viz Media, which is licensing the manga for English publication:
Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. With the great struggle over, they all go their separate ways to live a quiet life. But as an elf, Frieren, nearly immortal, will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to terms with the mortality of her friends? How can she find fulfillment in her own life, and can she learn to understand what life means to the humans around her? Frieren begins a new journey to find the answer.
