Fans of The Blacklist can now rejoice! As James Spader confirmed on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show last night, NBC has recently renewed its signature drama for a ninth season.
He exclaimed, “We were just snatched up this afternoon.” He said this to Spader during their conversation with Fallon. “Everyone was scrambling around” to announce the show, he said. The audience erupted in applause when he made the announcement. Because of the fervor with which the news was received, it’s easy to see why.
The show’s ninth season drew a total of 22 million viewers across all media, including television and the internet (9th overall). The series’ live and same-day average views have both increased by 200 percent. Also, it’s one of the country’s most-watched television dramas.
The show’s showrunner and executive producer After serving as co-showrunner with Bokenkamp for the first eight seasons and as a solo showrunner since the start of Season 9, John Eisendrath, who has been with the show since its inception, has returned for Season 10.
The Blacklist is an NBC crime thriller series created by Jon Bokenkamp. Along with John Davis, John Eisendrath, John Fox, Joe Carnahan, and James Spader, Bokenkamp serves as executive producer.
Davis Entertainment, Universal Television, Sony Pictures Television, and Open 4 Business Productions are behind the series. Critics gave it an enthusiastic reception when it premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013. It currently has a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 91% and has already been renewed for a tenth season.
So, when is the 10th season of The Blacklist coming out? What’s going on here? Who would make a comeback to play the same roles again? For more information, keep reading.
What’s the Plot of Blacklist Season 10
As the title suggests, “The Blacklist” centers on the fugitive and legendary criminal Raymond “Red” Reddington who has turned himself in with a long list of dangerous criminals and terrorists that he has known and associated with, as well as the “blacklist” of the title. These individuals were apprehended during the episode, but Red used his unique methods to help the FBI while the mystery surrounding his interest in FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen was finally revealed.

Recap of the Blacklist’s Awful Acid Trip:
Red hasn’t quite grasped the enormity of Susan Blommaert’s (Mr. Kaplan’s) death (James Spader). Earlier this week he asked the same question: How could she have survived if her body was never found? What on earth could she have done to avenge him, and how could she have done it? No, Kaplan could not have killed Liz. Even though it didn’t make any sense,
In the Witness Protection Program, Kaplan’s sister Maureen (Susan Pellegrino) pays a visit to her brother, who had been placed there for testifying against the Russian mafia years earlier. This is Maureen’s first chance to welcome Redback since Red broke the news of Kaplan’s death to her. When Red raises the possibility that Kaplan may still be alive, Maureen is asked if she has had any communication with her sister. Kaplan’s former associate and protégé Clara Moore is the person Maureen claims she didn’t know about, but she begs him to track her down (Winsome Brown). Is it true that before she died, Kaplan had a student and a lover? The only thing that matters is that she’s doing well.
Although I’d love to elaborate further, I have to catch up on the latest episode of Blacklister before I can do so at this time.

The Blacklist Renewed for Season 10
The tenth season of NBC’s crime drama will include 22 episodes.
A tenth season of The Blacklist is in the works, according to the show’s star James Spader. In an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, Spader announced that the show would be returning to its regular Friday night time slot. Deadline confirmed the move in an article. Spader’s announcement on The Tonight Show can be seen in the video below.
Averaging 22 million viewers per episode in its ninth season, The Blacklist has been a reliable performer for NBC. The first season since Megan Boone and series creator Jon Bokenkamp exited production is Season 9 of The Walking Dead. While Bokenkamp served as co-showrunner for the first eight seasons, John Eisendrath has taken over for Season 9.
The story picks up two years after Elizabeth Keen’s death in Boone in this season of The Blacklist. For those who worked with Spader’s Raymond Reddington, the FBI Task Force has disbanded and their lives have been altered in unexpected ways. We have no idea where Reddington is. Faced with an existential crisis, they are compelled to return to their original mission: eliminating the most dangerous, vicious, and eccentric members of The Blacklist. Raymond Reddington is the most devious criminal of them all and he is leading a new wave of threats and betrayals that will threaten alliances and inspire retaliation.
Reaction to the Renewal Has Been Mixed
In line with most recent TV news, the renewal news has elicited a mixed response. It’s no secret that NBC’s The Blacklist has been a top-notch show. This is a problem because the show’s popularity has fluctuated in recent years.
Elizabeth Keen’s character, Megan Boone’s Elizabeth Keen, had been the subject of much fan speculation for several seasons. Some Blacklist viewers are relieved that Boone is no longer a part of the show, while others worry that the chemistry that was so important to the show’s success will be missing now that she is gone.
Spader, on the other hand, continues to be a fantastic lead actor and the reason most viewers tune in each week. Overall, though, fans want to know the identity of his character once and for all, even if it means that the show will probably end.
Comments about the renewal range from excitement about the prospect of another season to one anonymous commenter on the Deadline article saying, “Loved this show for so long but I had to stop watching this season. I’ll miss it.”‘
When Megan Boone left, the show was over for me. NBC makes a lot of money. When she and James Spader were together, this show was truly exceptional. They’ve also killed off an absurd number of likable characters. Follow the lead of This is Us and know when to leave the party.
