Steve Rogers is likely an elderly man who resides on the Moon. But even so, Captain America is still needed. Fortunately for Earth, someone else just as qualified as Steve volunteered for the role. It wasn’t John Walker, no. Not John Walker, that’s for sure. Sam Wilson, in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, eventually takes the Falcon identity his friend offered him at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

The reappearance of an unexpected character was also announced by Marvel. Samuel Sterns/The Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson, will return. His last film appearance was as the antagonist in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.
Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Sebastian Stan, has not been officially cast. Two months after the release of Mackie’s Captain America film, he will feature in the Thunderbolts.
