Steve Rogers is likely an elderly man who resides on the Moon. But even so, Captain America is still needed. Fortunately for Earth, someone else just as qualified as Steve volunteered for the role. It wasn’t John Walker, no. Not John Walker, that’s for sure. Sam Wilson, in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, eventually takes the Falcon identity his friend offered him at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

With the fourth solo Captain America picture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony Mackie is prepared to take the superhero series into the future. All the information we have so far about Captain America: New World Order is included here.

Captain America: New World Order Release Date

On May 3 of that year (2024), audiences can see Captain America: New World Order in theaters. That’s barely over a year away, so Marvel is probably deep into pre-production at this point. The current production schedules for the MCU films should not be affected.

A year before the film’s debut, rumors circulated that Marvel was considering renaming it. New World Order will continue to be used until Marvel makes the name change official.

Mackie was the first cast member to be officially announced. Marvel Studios stated during the 2022 D23 Expo that Carl Lumbly will play Isaiah Bradley, an older veteran who received the super soldier serum, and that Danny Ramirez would play Joaquin Torres, Sam’s army liaison.

Variety claimed that during the conference in Anaheim, California, it was announced that Shira Haas would be joining the cast of Cap 4 in the role of Sabra, an Israeli superhero from Marvel Comics.

The reappearance of an unexpected character was also announced by Marvel. Samuel Sterns/The Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson, will return. His last film appearance was as the antagonist in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.

Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Sebastian Stan, has not been officially cast. Two months after the release of Mackie’s Captain America film, he will feature in the Thunderbolts.
