Police Are Searching for Carl and Vicki Mattson’s Killer Christopher Keeley
Marshfield, Massachusetts, state and local police are now searching for a suspect that they believe brutally murdered a married couple inside their house. Christopher Keeley, who is 27 years old, has been described as “armed and dangerous” by the authorities.
Carl and Vicki Mattson were found dead inside their house on Gotham Hill Drive at 9:19 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz. The police who responded to the residence for a well-being check discovered the married couple inside. Cruz said that both victims had been stabbed and beaten. Carl Mattson had reached the age of 70, and Wednesday would have been Vicki Mattson’s 71st birthday.
After that, according to the district attorney, investigators issued a warning to be on the watch for Keeley, who was acquainted with the couple. Cruz told reporters in attendance at a press conference he held on Wednesday morning, “This looks to be a targeted assault against these two individuals.” “The person who we are seeking for right now is someone who we believe to be armed and dangerous,”
The victims were discovered just inside their home with indications of a fight including an overturned bookshelf, according to the court records. It seems probable that the couple was assaulted a week ago, and it was a friend of Keeley’s who called the police to check on the residence, informing them that Keeley had been living with the couple as a favor to a family member, but that she had been asked to leave just lately.
According to the documents, Keeley told a friend that an argument caused by a barking dog was the catalyst for the attack. The documents also state that Keeley had recently been acting “psychotic” and that he told the friend that he was feeling the urge to hurt people, including the couple that he lived with, and that he was known to carry knives.
After a lady in Weymouth who had been considering letting Keeley remain with her kicked him away, the records state that Keeley became irate and feared that he might wind up having to fend for himself on the streets.

Chief Phil Tavares of the Marshfield Police Department speculated that Keeley may have altered his look and dyed his hair red.
Keeley was described as being Caucasian, with blonde hair and blue eyes by the State Police. He stands at a height of around 5 feet 7 inches and has a body mass index of about 140. According to the police, his most recent known residence was on Pleasant Street in the town of Weymouth. Cruz has stated that he has a “strong suspicion” that Keeley suffers from “mental health concerns” and has “already been involved with the legal system.”
Anyone who may have information is urged to contact the police as soon as possible.
After closing off the roadway, officers stayed stationed at the residence throughout the night and into Wednesday. At about 7 in the morning, witnesses reported seeing two dead bodies being loaded into a vehicle belonging to the medical examiner’s office.
Cruz declined to elaborate on how the couple and Keeley knew each other, stating only that he was familiar with the Mattsons as a contact of theirs.
