Deadpool 3 Release Date, Cast, and Is There a Deadpool 3 Teaser Out There?

It’s official: Deadpool 3 will be made. The movie has a set release date and the cast is now being cast in anticipation of filming beginning later this year.

Morena Baccarin (Vanessa) and Stefan Kapii (Colossus) are the newest cast members set to return. However, they aren’t the only fascinating cast members confirmed for the sequel’s third installment.

The fact that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in the third film is almost as intriguing as the thought of Deadpool joining the MCU. Reynolds and Jackman have been teasing each other mercilessly about the official title of the third installment.

Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, the creators of Bob’s Burgers, were originally credited with penning the sequel. The writers of the first two films, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are reportedly at work on the third film.

In light of this, here is all you need to know about Deadpool and Wolverine’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Deadpool 3 Release Date

Thanks to Reynolds’s bombshell, we now know that Deadpool 3 will swear its way into theaters on September 6, 2024, less than two years from now. The new release date for the film is November 8, 2024, which is a major disappointment.

The tweet below confirms the release date of Deadpool 3:

Given the financial success of the first two films in the series, Deadpool 3 will almost certainly debut in theaters before making its way to Disney+ and/or Hulu about a month and a half later.

Is There a Deadpool 3 Teaser Out There?

Not until 2023, when production on the third installment is scheduled to start. However, as we noted up there, Ryan Reynolds did provide an update, which you can watch on his YouTube page.

The update begins with Reynolds going about his normal routine, which includes things like working on a computer and working out while wearing a Deadpool suit that resembles the character’s black and gray X-Force suit from the comics. This is a particularly popular alternate costume for the character.

Reynolds admits he doesn’t have any ideas for the new movie, save for one thing, as he pours some of his branded Aviation gin into a Deadpool mug and begins to drink it. Hugh Jackman himself casually strolls up behind Reynolds, right on cue.

Following this, Reynolds says to Hugh, “Hey Hugh, you wanna play Wolverine one more time?” The Whitney Houston song “I Will Always Love You” begins playing when Hugh replies positively. The fantastic teaser concludes with “Coming Hughn” and a poster of the Deadpool logo with a massive Wolverine slash through it.

Reynolds posted a follow-up video less than 24 hours later, in which he and Jackman try to explain how Wolverine is back after being killed off at the end of Logan, only to have their explanation interrupted by the timeless Wham! the song “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.”
