Democratic Super PAC to Spend Millions on the New Ads

Democratic Super PAC to Spend Millions: With both parties’ attention focused on a Georgia Senate runoff that may determine control of the Senate, a prominent Democratic super PAC will begin airing a new commercial targeting the character of Republican Herschel Walker on Saturday.

The new advertising from the Democratic super PAC will cost millions

As both parties focus on a Georgia Senate runoff that may decide Senate control, a leading Democratic super PAC will debut a new commercial criticizing Republican Herschel Walker’s character on Saturday.

The Georgia Honor commercial, “Shown Us,” funded by $4 million for one week of airwaves, shows how costly and controversial the runoff between Walker and Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock will be.

Since CNN projected a Democratic win in the Arizona Senate race on Friday night but has not yet projected a winner in the Nevada Senate race, the Georgia runoff may determine Senate control. Even though Senate control is decided, Democratic and Republican organizations will fund the Georgia runoff.

CNN predicted this week that Walker and Warnock would face off in a runoff after no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, extending one of the most costly Senate elections by a month. Democrats and Republicans spent $151 million on advertising from Labor Day through Tuesday, second only to Pennsylvania’s Senate campaign. Georgia Honor’s $30 million commercial brands Walker a liar with a “long record of cruelty toward women.”

The narrator states, “Herschel Walker has shown us who he is.” “

Walker’s ex-wife, Cindy Grossman, told CNN in 2008 that Walker had put a razor to her throat and “had [a] pistol to my temple and said he was going to blow my brains out.” In September 2021, CNN reported on the interview again, but Grossman did not react.

“Raphael Warnock and his friends are employing the same old stale assaults that didn’t work over the previous few months,” said Walker campaign spokesperson Will Kiley. “His far-left policies are out of line with Georgians and need to alter.

“The option confronting Georgians on December 6th could not be clearer,” said Georgia Honor spokesperson Veronica Yoo. “We fully plan to communicate in every manner imaginable to voters that Walker is unsuitable and unprepared to represent them in the United States Senate.”  The group is spending $2 million on Kemp’s turnout effort.

Republicans privately worry that without Walker at the head of the ticket in December, the Senate contender may struggle.

“Warnock is a wonderful actor, he simply doesn’t behave like your senator,” says a narrator. Warnock votes with Joe Biden 96% of the time on spending, taxation, energy, etc. Sen. Rick Scott, the leader of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, donated $500,000 to 34N22, a Walker-supporting outside Republican group that tried to bring out the vote before the general election.

“34N22 is fully prepared to complete the fight, bring Herschel Walker through the goal line, and evict Raphael Warnock on December 6th,” spokesperson Stephen Lawson stated.

As CNN reported on Friday, one Trump adviser suggested assisting Walker financially with a large check from MAGA Inc., the Trump super PAC that contributed $16.4 million to politicians in the last weeks of the 2022 season.

On Thursday, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee announced a $7 million investment in field organization before the runoff to reach more Democrats before the general election.

“We believe engaging directly to voters through a robust, well-funded ground game is crucial to victory in Georgia, and we’re wasting no time in kick-starting these initiatives in the runoff,” said Democratic committee head Sen. Gary Peters.

Walker and Warnock have committed to the runoff. “Overtime. At a Canton, Georgia event, Walker announced a runoff. I’m made for this. Right now, God prepared me.”

“We have seen that Herschel Walker has a distressing past, a habit of violence against women, against his own family,” Warnock said. Is that who we want representing Georgia?
