Euphoria Season 3 Potential Release Date Status: Cast, Plot, and All Details!

After the second season of Euphoria aired, the only thing that worried people was the show itself, rather than the show’s long-term future.

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season two to extraordinary heights, pushing narrative convention and form while preserving its heart,” HBO Vice President of Programming Francesca Orsi stated in an official statement.

“We couldn’t be more honoured or more excited to continue our journey with this brilliant, incredibly talented crew into season three,” said the team.

So, what awaits fans ready to return to America’s best/worst high school on that journey? Lastly, will this be the last time we see Euphoria?

In the past, HBO’s Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys has conceded that the sexy high-school drama has a short shelf life.

He said, “I don’t think you should have 30-year-olds playing [young people]” (as reported by TVLine).

He also talked about how Zendaya’s rising prominence would affect her commitment to returning for many seasons. This is what he had to say about it:

Sam Levinson and Zendaya will have to talk about it, says Levinson.

Even though he mentions the show’s impending end, he is upbeat about the show’s future.

According to Bloys, “I’m quite pleased about what they’ve got planned [for Season 3]. So I’ll let them handle that. In general, I think we can put our faith in where they’re taking these individuals. As a result, we’ll defer to the design team.

If this is the end of the road for Sydney Sweeney memes, we can only hope that there will be more to come.

Euphoria Season 3 Potential Release Date: When Will Euphoria Season 3 Air on Sky and HBO?

Euphoria season three has yet to receive an official release date, even though we know it’s happening.

Season two of Euphoria was significantly delayed due to production troubles with COVID-19, but two special episodes made the wait a little more tolerable.

Hopefully, these concerns won’t affect the show’s future, which means that season three will be out by early 2023.

But Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane, who portrays Cal Jacobs, has popped the bubble a little bit.

In an interview with Variety, the actor stated that filming might begin as early as November, but that does not imply that the series will premiere the following year.

According to Dane, “I simply saw something that stated 2024, which is logical.

Then we’ll go back and shoot in November, at the earliest. I’m at a loss. Nobody has mentioned anything to me. Change is the only constant.

Euphoria Season 3 Cast: Who Is Returning for Euphoria Season 3?

Rue will be played by Zendaya once again, along with Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, and Maude Apatow, and Dominic Fike, who joins the cast as a newbie (Elliot).

It was never in doubt that Zendaya would have a significant part in season three (despite those pesky death rumours). Casey Bloys, HBO’s Chief Content Officer, recently revealed to TVLine that “she’s going to be in season three – it’s hard to fathom doing [the show] without her”.

In response to a question about whether or not he would return to the franchise, Dane said:

“Of certainly,” he replied.

In terms of how his character will evolve and whether or not Cal Dane will be redeemed, the following may be said concerning the actor:

“There will be a happy ending. That’s the course he’s on, after all. I can’t imagine what life would be like for Cal if he were released from solitary prison. When Cal is in prison, it is difficult to incorporate him into the plot.”

There has been no word on whether or not Dane and his son can get back together, but he stays hopeful.

“I’m hoping for the best. I believe that’s what happened in that scene, strangely. Nate didn’t say anything after I stated what I said in the entryway.

Even with the gun, he was allowed to truly communicate how he felt. With the gun, he was essentially saying, “I f**king hate you, Dad.”

As far as I’m concerned, he adds, “I’ve always been there for you and you’ve always hated me for it.”‘ Because Cal was disgusting. Because of that, he resented him. The difference is that Nate has a chance to do what I did in the lobby.”

Angus Cloud, a key cast member, may not return. Ashtray accidentally shot Fez during a hazardous police interaction, leading to Fez’s incarceration at the end of season two.

We don’t expect Fez to be released from prison anytime soon, but it’s possible that other characters could visit him there (or perhaps the show’s hallucinating montages could even bring him back for a minute) or that the show’s hallucinatory montages will bring him back for a bit.

Ashtray, Fez’s younger brother, is much less likely to return.

Even if Javon Walton’s character was killed off-screen in the aforementioned gunfight, it’s most likely due to the child’s age, and not because of any underlying mystery.

Tom Holland, Zendaya’s boyfriend, is rumoured to make an appearance as well.

The Man Otherwise Known As Spider-Man was spotted on set during the filming of season two, and Zendaya has confirmed that a cameo has been considered.

Euphoria Season 3 Plot: What Will Happen in Euphoria Season 3?

Between seasons one and two, Euphoria aired two special episodes. A strong response to these COVID-related episodes suggests that more could be developed to focus on certain personalities in the lead-up to season three.

Season three will continue to unravel the strands that were ripped apart in season two’s cataclysmic finale.

Putting Nate’s father behind bars will have consequences for him; Cassie and Maddy might be able to repair their friendship (maybe), and there’s also Jules to contend with. That final voiceover clearly shows she wants to make up with Rue, but it’s safe to believe they won’t ever get back together.

A major mystery remains unsolved in Euphoria’s second season, and it has the potential to become a major plot point in the third. Of course, we’re referring to Nate’s long-hidden third sibling, who has made an appearance in both seasons of the show in a family portrait.

Some hypotheses are more ridiculous than others – that ain’t Ashtray – but whatever the truth is behind the disappearance of the youngest Jacobs brother, fans have speculated about it since the show’s premiere.

Another figure who could have major ramifications if he decides to return in season three is Young Cal’s secret love for Derek. Now that Cal has been detained following the events of the season two finale, it seems unlikely.

We don’t know if Cal will ever return, but we expect him to appear in some kind of prison or courtroom moments that further examine his demise.

In season two, Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie became a darker character, and she hopes it will continue in season three.

“At the beginning of the scenario, Cassie said that she’s crazier than Maddy, and I got to play with some of her personality. She also became less frenzied and more wicked, dark, and solemn. I’d like to play around with more of her wild side if possible “This is what she revealed to Variety.

“I enjoy portraying people who are nuanced and nuanced. Because of this, individuals question whether they’re virtuous and morally pure, and whether or not they’re evil or good. I enjoy portraying characters who provoke thought in the audience and myself.

“Cassie was never intimidating to me, at least not in the beginning. I picture her as a weak, battered young lady.”

(EW) Javon Walton has revealed some behind-the-scenes controversy surrounding the finale’s stressful ending (via EW) and has provided some clarification.

“So to begin, he thinks he can run right past the SWAT team. In the back of his mind, he must have known he had a chance against all of them because you know, it only takes one shot to win.

“However, he was acting completely out of control, shooting in all directions. At the end of the day, he was just protecting Fez and his home, and he got the job done. Fez and protecting his house are the only things he cares about, therefore he doesn’t want to go into foster care, you know? In this case, he’s taking a significant risk.

“Fez was intended to be the first to perish. Then, just one day before we were to begin filming, the entire script was rewritten and we had to start from scratch.

“And the SWAT team’s rehearsals took a long time. Because we had to figure out exactly where I’m going to shoot and how I’m going to move to do it. There were blanks in it; it wasn’t just a cold pistol.”

But what if Ashtray makes a comeback in Season 3? When it comes to Ashtray, we can’t be sure he’s dead because you observed no blood, correct? Walton chimed in, too.

“Moreover, you didn’t even witness him fall to the ground. The gunshot sounded like it went through him, but you weren’t there to see it. So, there are a few things that could bring him back for a second season, but they’re minor.”

“He needs to see that using drugs isn’t the way he should be living his life. He needs to focus on himself because he’s been granted a second chance at life if he returns. That’s why he has to take advantage of it. If you’ve seen the episode, you’ll recognise him as the 13-year-old protagonist of the series.”

Euphoria Season 3 Trailer: Any Euphoria Season 3 Footage Yet?

New footage won’t be released until closer to the season three premiere date, so Rue and co. may not appear again until the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023 at the earliest.
