Florida Police Arrest Man Accused of Shooting Kindergartener

The Gaston County Police Department reported Thursday night that a man accused of shooting three individuals, including a 6-year-old girl, turned himself into police in Tampa, Florida.

Robert Louis Singletary, 24, didn’t have any identification with him when he entered a Florida police station, but authorities in Hillsborough County, Florida, said they were able to authenticate his identity just before 7 o’clock on Thursday.

The tweet below confirms the news:

Wednesday night, Singletary is suspected of shooting and injuring three people: 6-year-old Kinsley White, her parents Jamie White and Ashley Hilderbrand, and the victim. White’s critical condition keeps him in the hospital.

At around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the gunfire was reported close to the 4800 block of April Drive, close to Crowders Mountain.

Derrick Kenneth Prather was apparently another man that Singletary fired a shot at but missed. Four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon intended to kill and inflict serious injury, and one case of felon in possession of a handgun are all brought against Singletary.
