Beat the Devil, starring Humphrey Bogart and Jennifer Jones was Gina’s debut American film and became a box office hit upon its release in 1953.
The actress dabbled in creative and visual arts as well as politics in addition to her acting career.
According to KTRE, Gina is a photojournalist who emigrated to Australia from the Soviet Union. She also achieved fame as a painter and sculptor.
Reuters also states that Gina ran for a seat in the Italian parliament in September 2022, representing a leftist party.
