Jeannette Flashlight Attack Man Sought

Jeannette police are looking for a man from the city who they say used a flashlight to attack another man on Tuesday.

Police say that the man was taken to a hospital with many face and head wounds. Tuesday, charges were brought against James E. Robinson, who is 62 years old.

At about 1:30 a.m., police were called to the corner of North First Street and Frothingham Avenue because two men were fighting. Court papers say that Robinson was seen nearby with the flashlight in his hand and blood on both of his hands and on his clothes.

Police saw the hurt man staggering around on North First Street. They said he was bleeding heavily. According to court papers, he told police that Robinson had accused him of stealing a lawnmower and a bike right before he attacked him. The injured man told police that the attack happened where he saw a pool of blood on the street.

Robinson is facing charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and other similar crimes. Someone has asked for him to be caught. Police in Jeannette are asking anyone who knows where he is to call them at 724-527-4013 or leave a tip on the department’s CrimeWatch page.
