The actress failed to disclose John’s death cause in her message. John probably died of natural causes due to his advanced age and absence of recognized health problems.

John Aniston, whose birth name was Yiannis Anastasakis, grew up in a household of four on the Greek island of Crete, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. John’s early exposure to Chester, Pennsylvania, where his father opened a restaurant, sparked an early interest in the performing arts on his part. After finishing his time in the Military, he landed his first guest starring role on the CBS program Brenner.

Since then, he has been on several other TV shows, but his longest-running role was as the villain Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. He first debuted on the show in 1969 as a doctor, departed after a year, and then came back in 1985 to portray Victor. He remained in the post to the very end.
