Ludacris’ Child Support Lawsuit and Earnings
A former girlfriend of Ludacris filed a child support payment lawsuit against him in February 2014. His ex-girlfriend, Tamika Fuller, wanted $15,000 a month to help support her and their two-year-old daughter, Cai. Ludacris shockingly told the judge that he was broke at the time.
He disclosed a meager $55,000 in earnings for the entire year 2013, but he had been making roughly $26,000 monthly in recent times. Ludacris further revealed to the judge that he was counting on a large paycheck from the next installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise, but that filming had been put on hold after the untimely death of Paul Walker in December 2013.
The income of BOTH parents is considered in Georgia’s child support formula. Luda relied on this principle when he argued that he should not have to pay more than $1,800 per month. The judge ruled that the monthly installments must be $7,000.
Between the date of the judgment in August 2014 and the following August 2015, Ludacris earned roughly $8 million from his acting and music careers.
