Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely, stars of “Love Is Blind,” split up more than a month ago. Iyanna has recently initiated divorce proceedings in Chicago.
McNeely cited “irreconcilable issues” as the basis for the breakup, according to court records obtained by TMZ.
From the looks of the paperwork, Jarrette and Iyanna have settled on a “global settlement” that addresses both their financial support and their property.
In light of the fact that Iyanna now goes by Jarrette’s surname, it wouldn’t be strange if she asked to go back to her original moniker.
After announcing their breakup on Instagram in August, the couple officially called it quits. After great consideration, we regret to inform you that we have decided to file for divorce. Despite our affection for one another, our paths in life have diverged, and that’s well. This choice was not made lightly, but we both want what’s best for the other.
We ask for privacy as we finish this chapter of our life,” the message said. We appreciate the support of our loved ones, who have shown their unconditional affection for us throughout this difficult time. Thanks so much to everyone at Netflix and the ‘Love Is Blind’ team for giving me this incredible chance. The love and happiness you have all brought into our lives are immeasurable. So much about ourselves, vulnerability, and love have been revealed to us via this experience. We have no regrets at all!
Jones had also posted a mysterious message on Instagram Stories before the news, urging followers to “always preserve your peace.”
A 32-year-old named Jarrette spent the season split between two contestants, Iyanna and Mallory Zapata. When asked why he chose Iyanna over other candidates, he told Us Weekly, “She’s a better fit for me because she’s everything that I needed.” On paper, I should have been able to get along with Mal. Iyanna was quite different from me, and I think those differences are things I needed in my life to help me develop and become a better person and a better spouse.
