Man Charged With M*rdering His Roommate

The man’s roommate allegedly killed him early on Thursday evening, according to police.

The 2900 block of Fraley Church Road in Gastonia was the location of the incident.

James Thomas Robinson, who is 57 years old, is accused of killing Brandon Patty, a 26-year-old man, according to the Gastonia Police Department. Robinson faces a first-degree murder charge.

Just before 5:30 p.m., police were called to the residence because someone was still and bleeding from the head.

Patty was discovered by the police inside the home with a head wound. He was reported to be deceased at the site.

While he was still inside the residence, Robinson was apprehended. After being transported, he was booked into the Gaston County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder and kept without bond.
