WLOX – MOSS POINT, Miss. Following a violent fight at a gas station in Moss Point on Monday morning, a man was shot in the leg and foot, according to Moss Point Police Chief Brandon Ashley.
The shooting, according to Chief Ashley, took place at Moss Point Express near the intersection of Main Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard around 9 a.m. on Monday.
According to Chief Ashley, what began as a physical dispute between two men turned deadly when Gabriel Trayvon Turk-Magee shot the other man.
The person was taken by EMS to Singing River with non-life-threatening wounds.
Turk-Magee handed himself into the Moss Point Police Department around 2 hours after the incident, according to Chief Ashley. He was charged with aggravated assault but bonded out of the Jackson County Adult Detention Center at $25,000 Monday night.
