American actor Mike Batayeh made cameos in 16 movies and 24 TV shows during his lifetime. Mike has worked on shows including “Sleeper Cell,” “CSI: Miami,” and “The Bernie Mac Show,” but “Breaking Bad” stands as his crowning achievement. He plays Gus Fring’s covert meth lab manager Dennis Markowski in three episodes of the hit AMC series Breaking Bad.
Batayeh’s death was reported on June 1st, 2023. He reportedly passed away in the company of his family in Detroit. His five sisters and many nieces and nephews will carry on his legacy.

Michael “Breaking Bad” Batayeh’s untimely demise has been explained.
On June 1st, it was confirmed that the comedian and actor had passed away in Michigan. He was 52.
A worker from the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office emailed The New York Post with the news that Batayeh had committed suicide. The office reportedly did not give any additional information.
Previously, the actor’s sister had informed TMZ that her brother had died of a heart attack while sleeping.
Batayeh’s manager has been reached out to for comment by The Independent.
“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that my sisters and I announce the passing of our dear brother Mike Batayeh on Thursday June 1 2023,” the family wrote in a Facebook statement on June 4.
Batayeh played Dennis Markowski, the manager of the Lavandera Brillante industrial laundromat, in three episodes of AMC’s critically acclaimed Breaking Bad in 2011 and 2012.
Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) conducted a meth lab out of a laundromat.
Batayeh is survived by her five sisters and is remembered for her roles on shows including The Bernie Mac Show, Boy Meets World, and CSI: Miami.
His loved ones have asked that any memorial contributions be made to the Clark Park Coalition fund in Southwest Detroit.
Mike Batayeh Appeared in Several Tv Shows and Films Over the Years
Mike’s breakthrough role as a cab driver on the smash hit “Everybody Loves Raymond” came in 1998. In the same year, he made appearances in three further episodes of the series: “Boy Meets World,” “Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place,” and “Something So Right.”
His first film role was in the Henry Chan-directed comedy “Gas” from 2004. In “American Dreamz,” he showed off his acting chops once more as the Terrorist Director. He is well known for his role as a cook in the 2008 hit movie “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.”
Batayeh’s career was catapulted when he landed a role on the critically acclaimed show “Breaking Bad.” The critically acclaimed AMC smash hit aired from 2008–2013 and became an international phenomenon. In three episodes from 2011 and 2012, Mike plays Dennis Markowski, manager of the Lavandera Brillante industrial laundromat.
Giancarlo Esposito’s Gustavo Fring operated a meth lab in a laundry. Mike’s ability to infuse Dennis Markowski with complexity and emotion was on full display in his performance.
Although Mike Batayeh’s breakout performance in “Breaking Bad” catapulted him into the spotlight, his talent went well beyond that. He left an indelible impact on both the big and small screens with the work he did on various significant projects throughout his career.
