Never Have I Ever Season 3: Plot, Cast, and Everything We Know About

Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian-American youngster, is returning to our screens shortly with a new season of Never Have I Ever. Even before the season 3 premiere date was confirmed, Netflix had renewed Mindy Kaling’s comedy series for a final season. Now that the release date for the third season has been set, eager viewers can look forward to finding out what happens to their favorite high school students.

This season could be laying the groundwork for the next two seasons because the show has a fixed finish. In turn, this provides them additional freedom to explore other issues and time to develop more elaborate story aspects. We don’t know what they are, but we can assume based on how the last season concluded. Everyone who saves Ben seemed to be enjoying themselves (Jaren Lewison).

Never Have I Ever: The Plot

The audience was left with a few questions after the last season. Since they danced in front of everyone at the school dance, everyone knows that Devi and Paxton (Darren Barnet) have reunited and that they are back together. The popular swimmer, not Ben, was Devi’s first choice of partner, according to Eleanor (Ramona Young). Maybe things with Paxton will get more serious based on the blouse her best buddy is carrying in the shot above (or Devi wants them to get there). In any case, this is not the first time she’s tried to get him into bed.

Devi’s love life, on the other hand, could be in for another surprise. This season, a new character named Des (played by Indian-born actor Anirudh Pisharody) joins the cast, but little is known about his backstory. The private school may be able to accommodate Devi (Mia Wasikowska) or Aneesa (Megan Suri). Will her mother try to fix her up with him? Is he just a buddy of the family? We’ll have to wait and see.

In addition to Devi, other dancers had rekindled their romances. During this season, Eleanor’s cousin Kamala (Richa Moorjani) and Kamala may form new partnerships. Eleanor’s buddy Trent (Benjamin Norris) calls her a “star” and “transcendent” after seeing her in the play. When he invites her to dance, she accepts, despite him calling her by the wrong name. Compared to the men she’s dated in the past, they could be a perfect match.

The school dance is where Kamala runs away from an arranged marriage proposal and meets English instructor Manish Kulkarni (Utkarsh Ambudkar). Perhaps her attendance at the school’s function will help bring them closer together.

Nevertheless, where does all of this leave poor Ben? Will he intervene with Devi’s relationship, break up with Aneesa, lament his loss, or date someone else? In the promotional photographs, he and Devi look to be engaged in an amicable debate.

Never Have I Ever: The Cast

Devi has been recast with Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The Pixar/Disney+ film Turning Red is a good place to start if you’d like to see more of her work. Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young (Z Nation, Legends of Tomorrow) will reprise their roles as Devi’s best pals Fabiola and Eleanor.

Paxton will be played by Darren Barnet (Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles) and Ben will be played by Jaren Lewison (Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles). Poorna Jagannathan (The Out-laws) will reprise her role as Devi’s mother Nalini, and Richa Moorjani (Kamala) will play Devi’s cousin Kamala in the upcoming film. Megan Suri, who played Aneesa in Season 2, is also returning. Devi’s narrator, tennis player John McEnroe, is expected to reprise his role.

Jack Seavor McDonald as Eric, the robotics team’s leader, and Benjamin Norris as Trent, Paxton’s best friend, have also been cast in the following season. Several characters are expected to return, though this has not been confirmed. Neice Nash plays Devi’s therapist Dr. Jamie Ryan, Utkarsh Ambudar plays English instructor Manish Kulkarni, Ranjita Chakravarty plays Devi’s grandmother, and Adam Shapiro plays history teacher Lyle Shapiro in “Facing History”.

This season’s recurring actors include Jonah Dino Petrera as well as Lily D. Moore as Rebecca and Eve Christina Kartchner as Eve as well as Dana G. Vaughns as Marcus.

In January, Deadline announced the addition of a new cast member. Adding to the roster is Anirudh Pisharody, who will portray Des. As a private school student from India, he is referred to as “an Indian pupil.”

Release Date

On August 12, 2022, Deadline reported that the new season will be accessible to stream.
