As Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writes, Cobb (sickness) did not participate in Thursday’s practice.
Cobb has been absent from Week 3 preparation due to sickness, but he will have one more opportunity to practice on the field this Friday.
If he does, the Packers may offer an update on the status of their receiving corps before Sunday’s game in Tampa. We’ve had to take care of injuries to Allen Lazard (ankle), Sammy Watkins (hamstring), and Christian Watson (hamstring) throughout this week.

Other Players of the Green Bay Packers Who Didn’t Practice
Sammy Watkins, a ninth-year veteran, and second-round rookie Christian Watson were both sidelined on Thursday due to hamstring ailments after taking part in practice on Wednesday, albeit in a limited capacity. Allen Lazard, who has been dealing with an ankle issue since the beginning of the season, was held entirely out of the game. Randall Cobb missed the game for the second day in a row due to what the team describes as an illness.
The Packers may just be erring on the side of caution in Watson, Watkins, and Lazard’s case by giving them an extra day to rest before stepping up their activity in Friday’s practice. Aaron Rodgers, though, maybe without all four of them for Sunday’s contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Four of the Packers top receivers are not practicing: Allen Lazard (ankle), Christian Watson (hamstring), Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (illness) all DNP. All but Cobb practiced yesterday.
David Bakhtiari is back practicing today after yesterday’s DNP.
