The Boys Season 4 Release Date, Cast and Trailer

The renewal for a fourth season of The Boys just one week after the season three debut is evidence enough that viewers were hooked on the show’s profane, crass, shock-and-awe element.

It so happened that that was the episode where the exploding dick appeared. Certainly this wasn’t the main reason for the rise in The Boys’ ratings, but it did assist. What happened after the premiere of Season 3 was, in a word, evil.

Too many loose ends were left in The Boys’ third season finale, and we can’t wait to see them tied off.

So, when will the next season air, and who made it to the final four? Check out our rundown of season four of The Boys for all the details.

The Boys Season 4 Release Date

The premiere of season 4 of The Boys has not been announced. The third and final season of the show will debut on July 8, 2022, after being renewed in June 2022. It’s possible that fresh episodes will take some time to come out.

As of May 29, filming was completed, suggesting that fresh episodes of The Boys could premiere in late 2023 or early 2024. From the time production on the show begins until its premiere, we usually have to wait around a year. This is, of course, merely a guess at this point. We will keep you informed as new information becomes available.

Seeing the The Boys spin-off show initially looks likely to happen before season 4. In a special video posted to the official The Boys social media account, the actors and actresses confirmed their roles in this new generation. No official date has been set, but it will likely debut on Prime Video in early 2023.

Here is the video:

The Supes tested in The Hunger Games-style competitions at a Vought-controlled university are the focus of the spinoff.

Kripke has also teased that this might have some overlap with The Boys main series. Speaking to Deadline, he said:

“There’s definitely crossover, and we’re doing our best to design a universe that sees some of the issues and storylines in Season 3 hand off to the first season. Like there’s a presidential campaign happening in the background of that season, and there are certain things that are happening at that school that are both in reaction to Season 3 of The Boys. There’s Soldier Boy, etcetera, but also some new storylines that are happening in that season of the spin-off that we have to pick up and take into Season 4 of the show.”

The Boys season 3 is streaming on Prime Video now. Watch a trailer below.

Season 4 Cast of The Boys

Season 4 cast of The Boys

Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty) were doomed from the start, yet they managed to survive the series finale. Season 4 will bring more difficulties to Ross and Rachel’s utopia.

The fact that Mother’s Milk (Laza Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capone), and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) from The Boys all made it through Soldier Boy’s attack on Vought Tower guarantees that they will all be back for more mayhem.

Karl Urban, in the lead role of the mentally unstable Billy Butcher, is featured prominently. Even though Butcher’s prognosis is bleak after being exposed to V24, we have a sneaking suspicion that he won’t be leaving after season 4.

Despite Antony Starr’s Homelander’s oppressive rule, Jessie T. Usher and Chace Crawford are ready to reprise their roles as A-Train and the Deep. Even though Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar has not been confirmed to return to Breaking Bad, fans shouldn’t write off the Breaking Bad legend just yet since Colby Minifie’s Ashley still has a tenuous hold on the Vought CEO position and there are doubts about what Edgar (the puppet master) has been up to.

Both Cameron Crovetti’s whimpering Ryan, son of the crazed Homelander, and Claudia Doumit’s Victoria Neuman, who has her sights set on the White House, pose a menace.

Finally, there are doubts about three very distinct characters: Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell). Maeve had a nice ending with her ex, but because Ashley kept this information from Homelander, Supe, eager for revenge, could find her. At this time, she is not scheduled to appear in season four.

Soldier Boy, despite his best attempts, has been returned to the ice, where a melancholy Grace Mallory (Laila Robins) keeps vigil. Homelander may try to break his father out of prison because he has severe daddy issues. Ackles has hinted at a cameo appearance in Gen V, a spin-off series from The Boys, although he is not expected to appear in the fourth season.

While Homelander killed Noir off on the program, fans of the comics will know there was a twist that was glossed over. Even if our Noir doesn’t come back, there’s still a place for a Black Noir on The Seven.

However, Kripke assured Entertainment Weekly that Mitchell would return (in a new role): “I really doubt this is the last time Black Noir appears in a heroic capacity.

It’s merely that the man who wore the Noir disguise in Season 3 has disappeared. Next season, though, Nathan will be portraying a hilarious and intriguing character who will be seen in the suit.

In addition, Simon Pegg returns as Hughie’s father Hugh Campbell Sr., and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, from The Walking Dead, joins the cast in an as-yet-undisclosed capacity.

The roles of Elliot Knight (American Gothic), Rob Benedict (Supernatural), and Rosemarie DeWitt (Black Mirror), among others, are still being kept secret.
