A music icon has passed away. Many of Tina Turner’s followers want to know how she passed away after such a storied career and period of relative anonymity.
Early in her career, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll performed in nightclubs with her then-husband and musical partner Ike Turner. “A Fool in Love” was their debut collaboration, and it peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tina’s solo career began after she and Ike had been performing together for several years, and the triple Grammy winner “What’s Love Got To Do With It” helped secure her place in music history. What’s Love Got to Do With It, a semi-autobiographical film starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishbourne, a Broadway musical, and a novel all pay tribute to her.
After her record-breaking “Tina! : 50th Anniversary Tour,” Turner announced her retirement from the music industry in 2009.
In 1995, she and her spouse made the move to Switzerland, where she eventually obtained Swiss citizenship. “I don’t necessarily want to be a strong person,” she said to The New York Times. “I led a miserable existence. In any case, I proceeded. You simply have to keep going and keep hoping something good happens to you.
Tina Turner Cause Of De@th
The singer’s publicist confirmed her death from a protracted illness in a statement received by The Telegraph. Since 2016 when she was first diagnosed with intestinal cancer and 2017 when she received a kidney transplant, her health has steadily declined. “There will be a private funeral ceremony attended by close friends and family,” her spokesperson added. “At this time, we ask that you give her family some space to grieve in private.”
According to The Independent, Tina passed suddenly in Switzerland, where she and her husband, music mogul Erwin Bach, had been living since 1994. The pair tied the knot legally in a civil ceremony in 2013.
In 2017, Erwin was the hero by giving her the kidney that saved her life. In 1985, Erin was dispatched to meet her at the airport in Düsseldorf, Germany. They had an “instant connection,” as Tina told People.
Tina Turner: Unbelievable Artist, Inspiring Human
The years of abuse by Tina Turner’s ex-husband and bandmate Ike Turner were overcome. She mourned his de@th in December 2007 with the same tenderness with which she had remembered his life. That Ike d!ed earlier today is hardly news to Tina. After 35 years, she finally decided to cut ties with him. “At this time, we have no further comment,” her former spokesperson said. And that’s the extent of our patience with him at this point.
She had one of the greatest comebacks ever, proving to the world that some things are worth fighting for. Tina also discovered spiritual fulfillment through her conversion to Buddhism. She told the Harvard Business Review in an interview that year, “Of everything I’ve done to succeed as an artist, spirituality has had the greatest influence.”
Her list of accomplishments and honors is long and impressive. She has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has received 12 Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Kennedy Center Honors.
Even a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the greatest solo concert crowd is available. She seemed capable of everything and did it all.
Tina became more religious after she retired from show business. The freedom of retirement, she told the Harvard Business Review, allowed her to “spend time just being.”
Tina answered “yes” to the difficult issue of whether or not she had found happiness by explaining that she had been happy ever since she discovered her life’s purpose and learned to see the positive in every situation. Doable for others, right? “I’m not superhuman,” Tina said. Just a girl from Nutbush, Tennessee.” You can do it, too, if I can.
