Paramount has announced that both Transformers 8 and 9 will be released after Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The first Transformers film, starring Shia LaBeouf and directed by Michael Bay, was released by the company in 2007.
After five installments in the main series, Paramount gave Transformers fans a soft reboot in 2018 with Bumblebee. The next film in the franchise, Rise of the Beasts, is set in 1994.
And the course of the Transformers series has been charted for some time. There will be a Transformers 8 and a Transformers 9 after the events of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, as stated in a recent Paramount announcement on the studio’s plans for future film and television productions.
Whether or not Ramos and Fishback will reprise their roles or whether or not Steven Caple Jr. will return to direct either of the two sequels is currently unknown. The release dates for Transformers 8 and 9 have not been set either.
Transformers 8 Release Date
The release date for Transformers 8 is projected for late 2025.
Andy Vermaut shares:Transformers 8 Release Date Rumors: When Is It Coming Out?: After watching Rise of the Beasts, it’s understandable why so many fans are trying to hunt down Transformers 8 release date rumors. Transformers One, an animated film featuring Chris Hemsworth and many other prominent actors, is scheduled for release on September 13, 2024, though Paramount has not yet confirmed the release dates of upcoming live-action movies.
After the premiere of Transformers 1, production on Transformers 8, which may be a continuation of Rise of the Beasts, will begin. This would be after the year 2025. The best estimate is sometime in late 2025, however, this is very dependent on manufacturing.
Late 2025 is a wild guess based on Paramount’s current film schedule, but it’s possible that they’ll be able to release the film sooner.

How Will Transformers 8 Connect To Rise Of The Beasts?
This statement on Transformers 8 and 9 comes extremely early in the production of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and if the rumor mill is to be believed, Transformers 8 will be Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2.
Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, as well as some of the Transformers, will likely return to reprise their roles. This announcement comes at a good time for Paramount, so it’s feasible that they’ll rush to start filming Transformers 8.
There are no set release dates for future sequels at this time, but it’s evident that the studio intends to move rapidly. While we can’t rule out a 2025 release for Transformers 8, the next installment probably won’t come out until 2027 or 2028.

Speculations on the Transformers 8 cast
We anticipate seeing Anthony Ramos and possibly additional Rise of the Beasts regulars in the human cast of Transformers 8.
Since its inception with the Michael Bay films starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, the robot movie franchise has gone through several iterations of its star cast. Not to mention Hailee Steinfeld, who, if we’re being really forthright, we’d love to have back at some point from Bumblebee. That film doesn’t get nearly enough credit.
However, Anthony Ramos is first seen in the role of Noah Diaz in Rise of the Beasts, and it would come as a shock if he didn’t stick around. And, well, all the actors who voiced the robots.
The potential cast of Transformers 8:
- Anthony Ramos as Noah Diaz
- Dominique Fishback as Elena Wallace
- Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime
- Pete Davidson as Mirage
- Liza Koshy as Arcee
- Cristo Fernández as Wheeljack
- John DiMaggio as Stratosphere
- Luna Lauren Vélez as Breanna Diaz
- Tobe Nwigwe as Reek
- Dean Scott Vazquez as Kris Dias
