Wild Hearts is EA and Koei Tecmo’s version of Monster Hunter. Players use huge swords to kill mythical beasts and make new weapons out of the monsters’ limbs and other parts to use against their friends. Does everyone else think nature is so beautiful?
Wild Hearts came out today, February 13, but there’s a catch. Only people who pay for EA Play can get early access. For everyone else, the official release date is February 13. Also, each region will have a different release date and different system requirements. Here’s what you need to know right away to start playing Wild Hearts, which is a bit complicated.
Release date of The Wild Hearts
Wild Hearts will be available to EA Play subscribers on February 13 at 7 a.m. PT (15:00 UTC). You can get it for your computer or game console at that time.
You won’t be able to play the whole game, though. On February 13, we’re only putting out the EA Play First trial, which is only for people who pay $5/month (or $30/year) for EA Play or who have bought Game Pass Ultimate.
In the Play First demo, you can play the first few minutes of Wild Hearts, right up until you reach Minato, the game’s main city. There is a lot to see and do in the first area, which should keep you busy for a while. However, the missions that lead you to Minato shouldn’t take more than an hour or two.
Here’s when you can start the EA Play First Trial if you live in a different time zone:

Wild Hearts for PC will be available on February 16 at 7 a.m. PT. Just three days later, it was the same as the free demo above.

Wild Hearts for PC and Mac will both come out on February 17, at the same time. But the console version will come out on February 17 at midnight in all time zones. If that’s the case, you can enter when your local clock strikes midnight.
Australian gamers will have a huge advantage over those in other time zones because of this. When going hunting with a big group, try not to hold anyone’s past actions against them.
How to Play Wild Hearts
Still, Wild Hearts is mostly a mystery. This doesn’t mean, though, that we can’t draw any conclusions from what EA and Omega Force have told us. People are calling this mobile version of Monster Hunter the “next great fantasy hunting game.”
You have to find the strange creatures that are spread out across a map of feudal Japan. To reach this goal, you can use magic, ranged weapons, and melee weapons, as well as tools and traps like huge walls that you can climb and a propeller to jump on enemies.
The game won’t be open-world, but there will be a lot of space for players to move around and use dodging and evasion techniques. So, it’s clear that the developers aren’t going for the same serious tone as in Monster Hunter. Up to three players will be able to work together to play the game.
Players got a better idea of how big the game is and how much it’s like Monster Hunter from the demo. Most of the actions, fighting, movement, and moving around look the same. Most of the new features, like traps and new ways to fight, seem to have been added to the new crafting system, where you can make things during a battle. There are bombs, flash bombs, and other things that can explode on display.
That’s all we know about Wild Hearts, EA Originals’ best game so far, until it comes out. But we won’t be playing the game for a while. But while you’re waiting, you could play some of the best PS5 and Xbox Series X games that are already out.
Trailers for Crazy People
The main way Wild Hearts was shown off was through a reveal trailer. On October 5, 2022, a longer gameplay demo was shown. You can see the trailer for “The Big Reveal” up above. On November 18, a new trailer came out that was all about the Karakuri tech in Wild Hearts. We saw a variety of offensive and defensive traps and fortifications being used.
